Bring out the kid in you, with a PB&J Smoothie!

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

Thinking back to when I was a kid, I always remember one of my favorite things about going over to visit my grandma was for her famous PB&J sandwiches! She didn't just plop some PB&J onto some bread and hand it over, instead she would get cinnamon raisin bread, toast it and THEN slather on the PB&J... and of course I had to have it cut into 4's (actually... I still eat my sandwiches that way!). Fast forward a couple of weeks ago to my grocery store tour event that I did where their juice bar made us all mini PB&J smoothies, and where I found a new love! I just HAD to re-create this amazingness when I got home!

I will note that this is a higher calorie/fat/carb smoothie, so this would be great for a meal such as breakfast (In fact, I had one for my breakfast today!).

PB&J SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen strawberries

1/2 banana

Handful of ice

2 TBS all-natural peanut or almond butter

6 to 8oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I used The Firicano Whey)

Dash of cinnamon

Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
