Today I'm going to share with you two of my favorites for when you're short on time to workout and cook!
When I need to get in a quick calorie burn that will continue to burn fat and higher than normal calories post-workout (EPOC), I always pull out this HIIT workout from my folder of favs. When doing this, during your "sprint" periods, you want to make sure you're going ALL OUT and giving it your all. It's only for a moment and then you get to slow it back down.
A new tasty marinade I've been using lately on my chicken is my Citrus Marinade. It only takes a few minutes to whip this up, then I suggest tossing it in a gallon ZipLoc bag with the chicken (you can also use this on fish or pork) and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. When you're ready, toss on the grill and within minutes you'll have an awesome meal! I like to also add in pineapple or orange slices from time to time when grilling this recipe.
CITRUS MARINADE:
Ingredients:
1+ lbs of Chicken Breast
3/4 cup of Low Sodium Tamari Sauce (gluten free soy sauce)
3/4 cup of Honey
1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 cup of Orange Juice
Optional: Sesame Seeds
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together (minus the chicken breast). Put chicken in a gallon ZipLoc bag, add marinade, close the bag and mix together. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Grill and enjoy!
